I have brought back to life an Red Star Vacuum and turned it into an exquisite light feature.
The 'Star' vacuum cleaner was made by the Star Engineering Company of Wolverhampton. It was invented and patented in 1910 and was produced until 1938. The vacuum worked by hand. The concertina-like drum was pushed and pulled up and down the handle, sucking air and dust in through the cleaning head
The lamp has been wired with an antique looking 0.75 twisted flex and it has E27 lamp holder, black 3amp plug and a black on/off switch fitted to the cable.
The lamp has been mounted on a piece local felled Oak tree, which has been season for year to allow the moisture to be at the correct water percentage.
The metalwork has been lacquered and wood has been waxed
This lamp comes with a E27 G125 LED bulb.
The lamp has been PAT tested and meets current legislation.
